Hello everyone! My name is Adrianna and here is a little bit about me. I am a “retired” athlete of 16 years. I have experience playing 6 different sports and 3 years of those 16 was at the Division l Collegiate level. I have worked with many coaches, teammates, physical trainers, and nutritionists that made a great impact on how I view fitness and nutrition today. Over the years I have learned to realize that athletes and trainers have worked so hard to perfect their craft and trying to balance a lean nutrition, but have not shown the equal effort towards their mental health. It can truly consume you if you do not take the time to prioritize your mental health equally to your physical health. During these overwhelming times, I realized that myself and many others have been struggling with prioritizing ourselves, especially our health in all aspects. I had always had a goal to get my Personal Training Certification, but like most people I am a procrastinator and never knew when to start or how I would fit it into my busy schedule. Then, the pandemic hit and I had to go home to finish my last semester of college. When it felt like I had all the time in the world, I lost my motivation to keep setting new goals and stay on top of staying fit. I decided to schedule a meeting with my procrastination coach to help me get my head back into it again. We worked on a step-by-step plan to achieve my fitness goals and to complete my Personal Training Certification. I had my Virtual Graduation on Saturday, May 16th, 2020, officially receiving my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology with a Double-minor in Sociology and Spanish, and I completed my Personal Training Certification on Tuesday, June 2nd, 2020. The year 2020 is contained with darkness, but I was determined to find ounces of light anywhere I could. 2020 was my year of taking control of the new chapter in my life and permanently dedicating the rest of my life to prioritizing myself. Hence the creation of AdriFit being formed. Now, my goal is to share my knowledge with as many individuals as I can and help them prioritize themselves in the best way that they can.
